| The mission of the
Friends of Animal Sciences is to support and enhance the WSU, Department of
Animal Sciences by encouraging alumni and friends to provide private funds
and other resources for the benefit of the department’s students through
scholarships and grants, to manage those assets and to provide volunteer
leadership in support of the Department of Animal Sciences’ strategies.
Purposes:Ø To develop an alumni-driven association that is self-sufficient and self-sustaining through membership dues and donations to provide scholarships to the Department of Animal Sciences,
Ø To provide and receive more feedback from the Department of Animal Sciences, and
Ø To be a means of communication distribution between WSU, alumni and friends.
Goals:Ø Support and enhance the WSU, Department of Animal Sciences strategies, Ø Strengthen the Friends of Animal Sciences alumni association so that it is self-sustaining and is influential in supporting the WSU, Department of Animal Sciences, Ø Increase the public’s awareness and support of the Friends of Animal Sciences, Ø Establish and maintain the Friends of Animal Sciences alumni as a resource for feedback to and gain feedback from the department.
